ITFixLab is built to provide simple tech fixes, free tools, and useful guides. This page explains how we handle information when you use our website.
ITFixLab does not require users to create an account to read guides or use most free tools. We do not intentionally ask users to submit sensitive personal information through our tools.
We may receive information that users voluntarily provide when they contact us, submit feedback, or communicate with ITFixLab. This may include a name, email address, message, and any other information the user chooses to provide.
Many ITFixLab tools are designed to process information directly in the user's browser. When a tool works entirely in the browser, files or text entered into that tool are not intentionally uploaded to or stored on an ITFixLab server.
The way individual tools process data may vary. Users should review any instructions shown on a tool page and should not enter passwords, private keys, recovery phrases, banking information, government identification numbers, or other highly sensitive data into an online tool unless they fully understand how it operates.
ITFixLab currently uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the website and to improve content, performance, navigation, and user experience.
Google Analytics may collect information such as pages visited, approximate location, browser and device type, referring pages, interactions, session information, IP address, and other technical identifiers. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to distinguish users and sessions.
Information collected through Google Analytics is processed in accordance with Google's own privacy policies and terms. Users may manage cookies through their browser settings and may use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on where available.
ITFixLab and its service providers may use cookies, local storage, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar technologies for analytics, security, website functionality, fraud prevention, and advertising.
Users can block, delete, or manage cookies through their browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect how some parts of the website function.
ITFixLab may display advertisements through Google AdSense or other advertising partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's previous visits to ITFixLab or other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve, measure, limit, and personalise advertisements based on users' visits to ITFixLab and other websites on the Internet.
Third-party advertising providers may also place or read cookies on users' browsers, or use web beacons, IP addresses, and similar technologies or identifiers as a result of advertisements being served on ITFixLab.
Users may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. Users may also manage, block, or delete cookies through their browser settings.
Where required, ITFixLab may present a consent message that allows users to accept, reject, or manage certain uses of cookies and personal data.
ITFixLab may use affiliate links or publish sponsored content. If a user purchases a product or service through an affiliate link, ITFixLab may receive a commission at no additional cost to the user.
Commercial relationships do not change our goal of providing useful and honest information. Sponsored or affiliate content may be identified where appropriate.
ITFixLab may link to or use services operated by third parties. Those services may collect information according to their own privacy policies and terms. ITFixLab is not responsible for the privacy practices, security, or content of external websites.
We retain voluntarily submitted information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was provided, to operate the website, resolve enquiries, comply with legal obligations, or protect the website and its users.
We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no website, transmission method, or storage system can guarantee complete security.
ITFixLab is not intentionally directed at children under the age required to consent to online data processing in their location. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information may contact us to request its review or deletion.
Depending on applicable law, users may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection to the processing of their personal information. Requests can be made through the contact options provided on our About page.
We may need sufficient information to verify and respond to a request.
We may update this Privacy Policy when ITFixLab adds new features, services, analytics, advertising partners, or legal requirements. The revised version will be published on this page with an updated date.
