How this password generator works
This tool creates a random password inside your browser based on the options you select. You can adjust the password length and choose whether to include uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.

Build stronger passwords without relying on memorable patterns
A strong password is primarily helped by length, unpredictability and uniqueness. Names, birthdays, keyboard patterns and small variations of an old password are easier to guess than a randomly generated value. Use the controls above to create a password that does not depend on personal information.
How long should a password be?
Longer passwords generally provide more possible combinations. For accounts that accept them, choosing a comfortably long random password is better than trying to make a short password complicated through predictable substitutions such as replacing “a” with “@”. Some services have their own length or character limits, so follow the requirements shown by the account you are creating.
Do not reuse generated passwords
Give each important account a different password. Reuse means that a password exposed by one service can potentially be tried against your other accounts. A password manager can store unique credentials so you do not have to memorize every generated value.
Use multi-factor authentication too
A strong password is one layer of account security, not the entire defense. Enable multi-factor authentication where available, especially for email, banking, cloud storage and administrator accounts.
What this tool does not do
The generator creates a candidate password in your browser. It does not test whether a password has appeared in a breach, store it for you, or verify the security of the website where you plan to use it. Copy the result only to the intended account or a trusted password manager.
Random passwords versus passphrases
Random character passwords are useful when a password manager will store the result. A long passphrase made from several unrelated words can be easier to type manually, but it still needs to be unique and difficult to predict. Avoid famous quotes, song lines, names, birthdays and other phrases connected to you.
Check the website's password rules before generating
Some services reject certain symbols, limit password length or require a specific mix of character types. If a generated password is refused, adjust the options to match that service instead of repeatedly shortening the password without a reason.
Privacy and browser behavior
The password is generated on the page in your browser and is not intentionally submitted to an ITFixLab account or storage system. Your browser, clipboard, extensions and device security still matter, so avoid generating or copying sensitive credentials on a shared or untrusted computer.
